She is principal of Barefoot Art Graphic Design, a custom studio whose creative services include the capability to design and produce magazines, advertising supplements, catalogs, books, websites, directories, brochures, identities, and cds. She brings invaluable professional talent and experience in heading up Deep Water Creative’s design. previous—Musician magazine; Old-House Journal magazine; Old-House Interiors magazine; Garbage—An Independent Environmental Quarterly; Quayside Publishing Group: Rockport Publishers (graphic design, architecture, crafts), Fair Winds Press (cooking, health and fitness, history), Packaged Goods (gift books and kits).
Brigid Casellini, DEEP WATER CREATIVE—Editorial Director
After completing graduate coursework in publishing at Harvard University, it was only natural for Brigid, who studied horticulture in college, to begin her editorial career at Horticulture magazine. Performing editorial research, writing articles, and leading garden tours across the country, she had the opportunity to expand upon her background in both fields while visiting some very special places. Since then, she has focused her decade-long career on editing a diverse range of subject matter in publications ranging from books to magazines to academic journals. As the sole editor of Merrimack Valley Magazine, she directed every single aspect of the magazine's content, from creating line-ups to hiring writers to copy-editing and proofreading layouts. The home and garden section became her special focus, and in addition to authoring many articles, she also directed all photo shoots. Complementing Brigid's vast editorial experience is a love and knowledge of food and wine, the latter of which she pursued formal training in at Boston University's Elizabeth Bishop Wine Resource Center. She is a detail-oriented, deadline-driven editor, skilled at bridging the gap between editorial, design, and production. previous—Inquiry, Center for Undergraduate Research, UNH; Merrimack Valley Magazine, a bi-monthly magazine; Fair Winds Press; Horticulture magazine; FIT: LowCarb magazine, Quarry books.
